COMMISSIONS AND PAYMENTS

If you are new to affiliate marketing, the idea of earning money by promoting other people’s products might seem both exciting and confusing. How much can you earn? How are sales tracked? When will you be paid for the sales you’ve made?

OVERVIEW

  1. Here’s how to earn commissions in AFFIGATOR:
  2. Find a product to promote and create a personalized link.
  3. Promote the product online.
  4. A customer clicks your link, goes to the advertiser’s page, and buys the product.
  5. You earn a percentage for making the sale. Your commission is calculated based on the product’s price and is reflected in your profile within two minutes of the sale.

HOW ARE COMMISSIONS CALCULATED?

chart with gold coinsEvery product in AFFIGATOR has a commission percentage set by the advertiser. When you make a sale, AFFIGATOR processes the sale, applies the rate, and then calculates the commission. For example, here’s how much you’ll earn from selling a product with a 55% commission:

  • Retail price: 29.99 BGN
  • Subtract 7.5% + 1 BGN: -3.25 BGN
  • Net price: 26.70 BGN
  • 55% of the remainder: 14.69 BGN

Therefore, as the affiliate for this sale, you will earn 14.64 BGN.
Products may have different commission rates, but the calculation is always the same.
The maximum commission for a single sale is 150 BGN.

PAYMENT

Affiliates aim to earn commissions. To receive your first payment, there are two requirements:

  • You must reach your payment threshold, which you set in your Settings.
  • You must meet the Requirements.

Therefore, as the affiliate for this sale, you will earn 14.64 BGN.
Products may have different commission rates, but the calculation is always the same.
The maximum commission for a single sale is 150 BGN.

REFUNDS

You may wonder if you get to keep the commission if the buyer decides to return a product. Unfortunately, the answer is no. When the product is returned, the full amount is refunded to the buyer, so the affiliate must return the commission.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • I made a mistake in my link’s alias, but I already have sales with it. Can I still get paid?
It’s possible. If the incorrectly spelled username belongs to another user, we cannot transfer the money to your account. If there is no account with that alias, you can contact customer service, and they will give you access to that account. All sales made using that alias will be recorded in the respective account, even though it didn’t exist when the sales were made. However, we cannot transfer the funds from that account to yours.
  • Can advertisers cheat affiliates by taking back commissions or lying that the product was returned?
No. Unlike other affiliate networks, AFFIGATOR acts as the intermediary in the transaction and is responsible for tracking and paying commissions, so advertisers cannot skip payment. If the advertiser requests a refund, they also have to return their portion of the product, so there’s no reason to lie about the product being returned.
